STV ÉCO is STV's green branch! We are diversifying our activities in the timber sector and reflecting on new ecological projects.

A local project

Taken over by STV in 2018, "Machet Production", an integration company created in 2008, offers various products, from composters to the manufacture of terraces, pontoons or urban furniture, as well as the construction of light wooden structures.

In general, Machet Production only processes untreated wood (acacia, Douglas fir, oak) sourced from the Grand Est region. The company is particularly careful to limit its environmental impact and prioritize local employment.

The takeover of Machet Production by STV ECO aims to maintain and develop local employment.

Acacia,
our specialty

We only process untreated wood (acacia, Douglas fir, oak) sourced from the Grand Est region. The company is particularly careful to limit its environmental impact: using local species from certified forests, no chemical wood treatment, and choosing naturally durable species.

The company specializes in processing acacia (black locust, false acacia), which is the only European wood naturally classified as class 4 (rot-proof). Using acacia is a local and ecological alternative to using exotic species like teak.

Social Impact

...

The integration company "Machet Production" was created in 2008 to offer work to people who are far from employment.

The objective of the integration company is to enable individuals to progress towards employability by building their confidence on worksites identical to those in the market and by helping them grow technically and personally.

The workshop and production facilities

...

The Val-et-Chatillon carpentry workshop, located at a place called La Cotonnière, brings together wood processing activities. The company possesses all the necessary splitting and carpentry equipment (wood machines, power tools, etc.) and tools for its activity.

/ Stakes

...

All our stakes are split from aged robinia for better density. The wood comes exclusively from local forests in the departments of Meurthe et Moselle (54), Vosges (88), Haute Saône (70), or Haute Marne (52).

We transform acacia into stakes of various lengths, from 1.50 m to 6 m, with different cross-sections, and they are sharpened.

/ Compost Bins

Made from naturally durable wood without any treatment, our compost bins are available in several volumes: 400 L, 500 L, 600 L, 800 L, 1000 L, and 1200 L. The acacia feet and 27 mm thick Douglas fir side panels make them particularly resistant and durable.

...

quick and easy assembly, 5 min without tools

The wood is PEFC certified and comes from forests in Lorraine and Alsace. The front panel is removable to facilitate compost extraction. They are packaged in flat, compact kits.
